This A3 poster grew out of my book Animals of Irish Name and Origin – a project that began with curiosity and turned into a deep dive into Ireland’s native breeds, wildlife and the stories behind their names.
The artwork is taken directly from the book, repurposed for the poster and printed at A3 size (29.7 × 42 cm), making it easy to frame and display. It’s a piece that sits comfortably in a home office, living room or classroom – anywhere you’d like a reminder of the richness of Ireland’s natural heritage.
Like the book, the poster is about more than animals. It’s about language, landscape and identity – how names carry history, and how certain species are woven into the fabric of this island.
